Coverage varies by carrier and plan. Many insurers cover the FDA-approved brand-name products for type 2 diabetes; coverage for chronic weight management is more limited but expanding. Weight Method's compounded program is cash-pay and does not run through insurance.

Weight Method does not dispense or prescribe the FDA-approved brand-name products. Our prescribing providers issue patient-specific prescriptions for compounded medications, dispensed by U.S.-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are a regulatory category distinct from FDA-approved brand-name products.
